北京林业大学实验林场位于北京市西北部，面积765.26公顷，横跨海淀和门头沟两个区，海拔100-1153米。动植物资源丰富，森林覆盖率达96.4%，有陆地植物121科447属955种（包括变种和引种），昆虫种类14目122科539余种。
作为北京林业大学重要的教学、科研、实习基地，实验林场独特的小气候和土壤植被环境条件，适合农、林、地质等学科的科研及教学实习活动，在服务学校植物学、树木学、森林经理学、生态学、土壤学、测量学、水土保持学等课程教学实习的基础上，也为北京建筑大学、北京农学院、首都师范大学、中国石油大学（北京）等兄弟院校提供教学实习服务。
1992年，经原林业部批准，在实验林场基础上成立森林公园，2003年晋升为国家级森林公园。实验林场将具有丰富自然景观和人文古迹的鹫峰区域开放为休闲游憩区，分布有鹫峰国际梅园、千年登山古道、鹫峰山庄、森林浴场、沐容亭等景点，适宜春看花、夏纳凉、秋观叶、冬赏雪。
The
Beijing Forestry University Forest Farm is situated in northwest
Beijing, it encompassed 765.26 hectares of land and covered part of
Haidian and part of Mentougou, the altitude is 100-1153 meters, the
animal and plant resources are rich, forest coverage reached 96.4%, it
has 955 species (including varieties and introduced species) of land
plants that belong to 447 genera or 121 families, 539 species of insects
that belong to 14 orders or 122 families.
As an important teaching, scientific research and practice base of Beijing Forestry University, the
unique microclimate, soil and vegetation environmental conditions of
the forest farm are suitable for teaching practice and scientific
research of agriculture, forestry, geology and other disciplines.
Multiple courses such as botany, dendrology, Forest management, ecology, soil science, surveying, soil and water conservation of Beijing Forestry University have
been practiced here. Meanwhile, Beijing University of Civil Engineering
and Architecture, Beijing College of Agriculture, Capital Normal
University, China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and other
universities also carried out teaching internships here.
The
Forest Park was founded in 1992 as approved by the former Ministry of
Forestry and became a national-level park in 2003, the forest farm opens
Jiufeng area with rich natural landscape and cultural monuments as a
leisure and recreation area, distributing Jiufeng international
registration garden for mei, ancient climbing route, Jiufeng peak villa，forest-bathing
place and beautifying pavilion, suitable for tourists to enjoy flowers
in spring, cool in summer, colorful leaves in autumn and snow in winter.
